expertise doesn't even apply to spells, hexes, enchantments, or a good chunk of skills in general. how is that overpowered?

You can tell theres a problem with it when rangers rarely use the weapon they are supposed to. Maybe its just a problem with bows. either way R/Ds, R/Ws, R/As need to die. I dont mind touchers cause they only work in pseudopvp (RA AB maybe TA) and they are fun to kill when they think themselves invincible.

The only thing I see wrong with Expertise is touch skills. It's like making Mysticism only effect you when Dervish Spells Only ends on you.

Just because the Ranger can be flexible doesn't mean it's IMBA, any decent team can combat an R/P or R/D or R/W. It's not really that much more powerful than using a straight up Para or Derv or Warrior, and it has less armor, generally.

I've been saying now for almost 2 years that Vamp Touch and Vamp Bite need to be made spells, and maybe have the cast time dropped to 1/4s. I remember doing AB and seeing how 20/24 players on both sides were Touch Rangers, and it was kind of just like "wow, this is ridiculous". It's not nearly as bad anymore. But saying "Just use 'Can't Touch This' n00b!!!" is the dumbest excuse I've ever heard. Any decent player knows that skill is complete garbage. Seriously, 20 second recharge time? Only affects yourself? Maybe with a 10s recharge, and affecting all allies within earshot, it might be worth taking, but in it's current state, it is useless.

How about this:

Let's remove all professions from the game and replace them with just "Stick Fighters"; remove weapons, and give everyone a 10-10 dmg Stick, with no mods. Everyone has the same health/armor/atk speed/everything. We can just do 64v64 Stick Wars all day with complete balance!!!

How often do you see a pure anything anymore? That is the whole point of allowing people to multiclass to begin with. If you take away the rangers versatility, then it loses its strongest point. Besides, most of the good ranger builds require good players and practice, which outshines any toucher any day. Toucher does not really work anymore, people catch on quicker now, and learn to avoid them while they get taken down. At the same time I hear rumors of touchers owning in HA.

/signed. Tell me two legs, where were you when the kournan jackals slaugh, I mean, why should a 12 death magic ranger cast a death magic touch skill more efficiently than a same 12 death magic necro? Because necros are indoors reading books and rangers are outgoing being more 'in touch' with themselves? Ah, in that case /notsigned, but only if warriors can cast touch skills for free since they're the avatars of mesomorphs. Oh, also, since touch skills are kinda sexy, mesmers should get energy when casting same death magic attribute necro touch skills, but only if they're wearing sensually revealing costumes, not that 'cover up everything crap', in which case, they can't use touch skills at all.

This is a half-assed update to let rangers only benefit from touch skills. Heres a fix; if rangers benefit from touch skills, then let warriors use touch skills for free since they're mesomorphs, and mesmers since they're the avatars of sensuality. Or, nerf the rangers' ability to cast a death magic touch skill better than an equivalent necro.

Though I wouldn't mind if Izzy took a look at the current R/D(because 3-5 escapway R/Ds with Rending Touches are annoying), but other than that, the other builds have their weaknesses.

Could you read up a bit and find out what expertise really does before you comment with nonsense? Spells were never more efficiently cast by a ranger then by the caster.
